NKC Electronics's Serial LCD modules can have GREEN or BLUE PCB.

The differences:

The module with GREEN PCB has 2 pin headers: header 1 with 3 pins and header 2 with 6 pins. In the documentation, they are numbered 1, 2 and 3 for pin header 1 and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 for pin header 2. Pin header 1 is for RS232 communication, Pin header 2 for I2C or SPI.

The module with BLUE PCB has 1 pin header with 10 pins, numbered from 1 to 10. The first 3 pins are the same as pin header 1 on the GREEN PCB module (RS232 communication). Pins 5 to 10 are the same as pin header 2 on the GREEN PCB module (I2C and SPI communication).

The layout of components on both modules are also different, but the functionality is the same.

On both modules (GREEN or BLUE PCB), Jumper R1 is for selecting I2C and Jumper R2 is for SPI.
